Model car collecting is a niche hobby with an audience that cares about detail. The store had to feel as considered as the products on it: clean catalog browsing, fast checkout, and a brand that reads as a specialist shop, not a generic template.
What it is
A Shopify store selling collectible die-cast model cars. I did the whole storefront: how it is organised, the product and collection pages, the checkout, and the brand.
- Collections organised by scale, brand and series, so a specific model is a couple of taps away.
- Checkout tuned and themed for phones, because that is where nearly all the traffic is.
- Logo, colour and type built to read as a specialist collector shop rather than a generic template.
Why it had to look considered
Collectors pre-order limited runs, which means paying up front for something that has not shipped. A store that looks thrown together does not get that money. The detail on the site had to match the detail on the models.
